Hi everyone, thanks for checking in! How is the Christmas shopping going? We are getting there- oh so close. Before our children open a plethora of Chinese plastic, we’ve been decluttering closets and toy chests! Have you read Clutterfree with Kids by Joshua Becker (only $5 and some change right now!!)? I talked about here a few months ago. So so good if you struggle with getting rid of things- there is much emotion around STUFF but especially at this time of the year, it’s good to remind ourselves what we really value (hint hint: people).
Enough of my sermonette, here are my favorite links from this week:
The day I decided to be happy for everyone else via Finding Joy – Must read!
8 Things you should buy used via Wise Bread- Great advice. I would add baby gear to #5 (swing, bouncer, cribs) – there’s always someone looking to get rid of stuff!
10 destinations on the rise via CNN Travel – I’m working on a 2016 Bucket List and excited to know we’re going to one of these places!
We Paid Cash: A Two Week Family Roadtrip via Money Saving Mom – This could be categorized under money OR travel, but I think the point is, if you want to make something happen, you’ll make it happen. If traveling as a family is important to you, sacrifices can be made!
Do you declutter before Christmas? What do you insist on buying used? Have you had to sacrifice to take a vacation? I’d love to hear!
